Support Us

There are many ways in which you can support Clarks Farm - here are just a few.

Sponsor one of our Long-Stay Residents

**Sponsor A Long-Stay is currently unavailable - Sorry for the inconvenience!**

Most of the greyhounds that come through the gates of Clarks Farm are capable of adjusting fully to a life outside of the kennels and go on to become the most loving domesticated pets. Unfortunately, we do have some who just cannot cope with life in a home, need extra time to settle after racing or require additional socialisation and training in order to make the adjustment into domestic life. These greyhounds stay with us in the kennels as long as is needed where staff work with them to get them ready for life in a home.

Sponsors will recieve a Sponsorship Pack including: A photo certificate, thank you Letter, your Sponsor Dogs story, breakdown of how the money is spent, car sticker and you can can come in and meet/walk your sponsor dog (appointment only).

Dog Sponsorship is just £100 per year or £8 per month!  It would make a wonderful gift for a dog loving friend or relative!

Would you consider becoming a sponsor of one of these dogs?

To sponsor please click HERE to choose your dog and continue via PayPal.  You will be given the option of 1 Year, 6 Months or £8 recurring monthly sponsorship that you can cancel at any time.  If choosing the last option please make sure to tick the box saying 'Make This A Monthly Donation' for it to apply!

if your sponsor dog successfully finds his loving forever home (celebrations aside!) we’ll give you a ring to tell you the good news and to move your sponsorship on to help another dog During their stay here!

Donate Direct To The Vet Bills Kitty

If the pandemic has shown us anything, is that we need to stop being too proud to ask for help!  We understand times are tough.  We understand completely, as it has been a rollarcoaster for all of us!  But it has also shown us why we need your support more than ever.

On average, it costs us on over £500 to prepare a greyhound for adoption.  This includes neutering, vaccinations (if needed), dental care (if needed), flea and worming, grooming, and feeding.  It generally takes up to 12 weeks for a dog to go from arrival to adoption but for harder to home dogs they could be here for months needing feeding and care.  Asking for donations can be off-putting for people as we can appreciate you want to know where your money is going and what it is being used for.  For this reason we have decided to create an option to donate directly to our ongoing veterinary costs.  For context as to why we are asking for your help in this department specifically; in the last 4 weeks (June-July 2021) we have spent roughly £5000 on veterinary care.

That included:

- 4 Spays (£205 each)

- 9 Castrations (£130-160 each)

- 3 Undescended castrations (£180 - £250 each)

- 10 Vaccinations (£30 each)

- 2 Dentals (Capped at £500 each)

- 2 Emergencies

- 1 Scans/Blood Tests

- Various Medications

So you can see why we may need a little helping hand!  If you would like to donate to our vet bill pot, even if it is just £2 per month, we ask that you consider making it a recurring monthly donation!

Redbubble
We have a Redbubble Store!

What’s Redbubble? Redbubble is a print on demand (POD) website where artists and other creators can upload their work to be custom printed onto a huge variety of products from clothing to phone cases. Giving us a global outreach, customers can just browse the shop, choose what they want, and Redbubble will print it and send it out on our behalf…and we receive the profits from each sale!
The benefit of Redbubble is that it doesn’t cost us anything to use. This means we don’t have to take any risks…we don’t have to pay to have the products printed, have the stock in store here at the Centre and then run back and forth to the post office in the hopes of keeping up with demand but also with the hope that the items even sell!

By having the Redbubble, it can just tick over quietly in the background, bringing much needed funds in for the dogs without any of the trouble…because let’s face it, we have enough on our plates without trying to run a full-blown shop! It's such an easy way to support our work, and get something awesome in return!

So, what’s actually in our shop? We have a range of beautiful greyhound/sighthound designs on a range of products thanks to the amazingly talented Alfred Russo! Alfred has created some amazing artworks which he has given us sole use of to use for fundraising! Thanks Alfred, you’re the best!

We hope you like it!  Have a browse here:

Recently over £430 was raised from our donation buckets on the check outs at Morrisons, and a further £100 at The Emporium in Maldon! We would love to have our buckets all over the place as short and long term fixtures to make it easy for people to donate to Clarks Farm while out and about!

We have 20 buckets available for placement in and around Maldon.  Please ring if you might like some in your work place!

Amazon Smile

Do you regularly shop on Amazon?  Did you know if you used Amazon Smile HERE, we could get a donation for each of your purchases!

It's exactly the same shopping experience but with the bonus of donating to the greyhounds!

Amazon Wishlist

At Clarks Farm we appreciate any and all support to give the greyhounds the best care possible.  We get asked a lot about things that could be donated to help and so we have created an amazon wishlist for items we regularly use and need for the dogs.

Everything on this list will go straight into helping the dogs, whether it is cleaning products for the kennels or food for the dogs themselves.

You can find out wish list: HERE

Give It Up!

Is there something you absolutely cannot live without?  Coffee?  Tea?  Chocolate?  Why not set yourself a challenge!  Get your friends and family to sponsor you to give up something you normally cannot live without for a week, month or even longer to support Clarks Farm?  You can share updates on your socials and drop us a tag!

Donations for Raffles

Donation of goods for raffles, we frequently hold raffles at events and always need prizes.

Donate your time

We are always happy to hear from people who are willing to donate some time and their experience. At the moment there is often building and painting activities going on at the kennels. There is also always plenty of dog walking to be done!  We often need support at events promoting greyhounds as pets. If in doubt just offer - you'll be surprised what a wide range of skills and services we are looking for.

Out Of Office E-Mails

During lockdown fundraising ideas have gotten more and more virtual and a bit out of the box!  One idea suggested to us was that people's automatic 'Out Of Office' e-mails have a little message asking to support a chosen charity.  So why not set your automated e-mails to have a note on the bottom asking your clients to support Clarks Farm during these crazy times!  (with your managers permission of course!)

One - Off Events

Raise some money from a one-off event, a sponsored run, coffee morning, car-boot sale, the only limit is your imagination! We are more than happy to help you by providing T-shirts, endorsement letters or a feature on our website, just let us know. Following a problem with fraudulent fundraisers using Clarks Farms name if you are planning to raise funds for us please contact us and give us the details of what you are planning to do so we can verify your legitimate status with anyone who raises a query.

Regular Monthly Donations

By regular monthly donations from your bank or wages. Regular donations help us plan our work as we always know how much money we will have in a month, it doesn't need to be a large amount, £5 or £50 it's up to you!

Don't forget to GiftAid your donation!  Gift Aid allows Clarks Farm to claim an extra 25% on top of every donation from the goverment which can go a long way to helping the dogs!  Gift aid forms are available via e-mail or in the office at the kennels!

Matched giving (also known as match funding) gives your employees the chance to boost their fundraising efforts by having their employer matches the money they’ve raised and donate to their chosen charity.
